We join with the Glenwood Police Department and District 167 to support the D.A.R.E. program for 6th Graders. The club provides the funds necessary to purchase T-Shirts for the children to remember the D.A.R.E. message long after the class is over.
We join with the Glenwood Fire Department to establish an annual Lions Blood Drive, to support the continued need for blood and blood products in our service area. This event will occur in August.
The club joins with the South Suburban PADS organization and the Church of the Holy Family in Park Forest to provide meals for the homeless. The Fifth Thursday Club was established to help support the church on those months which have a fifth Thursday in them.
