In January of each year a spaghetti dinner is jointly sponsored with the Glenwood Junior Women's Club. This dinner has been provided by a number of community organizations for the last 19 years. The photo at the right shows the calm before the storm!
During the Village of Glenwood's annual "We the People" celebration for Independence Day we sponsor a booth at the food fair. We have also, on occasion, entered a float in the parade.
The annual Lions "Ribfest" has joined the Village of Glenwood's "Autumn Days" celebration held each September. This event has grown substantially over the years and now provides a large share of our revenue. Here is Lion Monty in the pit.
In October of each year the club joins with the Lions of Illinois Foundation and all other clubs across the state for "Lions Candy Day". This event is the major fund raising effort for the foundation to support its many programs and activities.
In November the club joins with the Glenwood Junior Woman's Club for a fundraising/social outing at Balmoral Race track.
